Continuous Learning and Training Programs

At Kristallis Chartered Accountants, we are committed to providing our staff with comprehensive training and opportunities to access professional development programs within the accounting industry.

We provide a range of training and learning and development opportunities to our staff to ensure that team members are able to continually develop knowledge and skills in order to perform to their potential.

Outlined below are the learning and training opportunities available to our team members:

(1)        Kristallis Knowledge Shop

Kristallis Chartered Accountants have engaged Hayes Knight, a leading second tier accounting firm, to provide external taxation advice for our team. Our team has access to the online Hayes Knight Knowledge Shop intranet which is live and up to date with the latest research materials.

Our team also have access to the Hayes Knight Knowledge Shop team via telephone or email which assists our team answer complex taxation questions accurately and efficiently.

(2)        Opportunities to attend external training seminars

Team members are encouraged to attend scheduled external seminars and workshops (through organisations such as ICAA, NTAA, CPA, Grant Thornton, Bartier Perry Lawyers and The Argyle Partnership Lawyers) to advance their accounting and taxation knowledge.

Team members who have attended specialist training seminars are required to conduct a presentation at our weekly team meetings, to share the information they have learned with the group.

(3)        In-house training seminars

At Kristallis Chartered Accountants we conduct periodical lunchtime training seminar on a range of taxation issues. These sessions are presented by team members.

Training focuses broadly on tax knowledge and recent legislative changes, accounting and business skills, communication and people skills, management skills, client skills and technology skills. These areas also form the basis of our performance management system for all staff.

Computer training is also conducted at meetings (Viztopia, Document Manager, Intranet, Solution 6, AE Tax, APS Desktop Super, Banklink, Praemium, MYOB Premier and Accounting Plus, and Profit Kristalliser can all be trained in-house to an advanced level) on an LCD Projector.

(4)        Post Graduate Training – CA and CPA Program

Kristallis Chartered Accountants supports post graduate study, with study leave and financial assistance available team members undertaking the CA and/or CPA Program.

(5)        Kristallis Performance Review (KPR) Program

At Kristallis Chartered Accountants, we aim to conduct comprehensive performance and career development reviews on a bi-annual basis. These provide an opportunity to identify team members’ individual strengths, and ways to work on those skills that are not yet fully developed. It also provides the opportunity for team members to discuss with a principal or manager, their goals and aspirations for the future.

(6)        On the job training

At Kristallis Chartered Accountants, we believe that the key to optimum professional development is daily on-the-job experience. We maximise this by giving team members the opportunity to work closely with supervisors and clients in a friendly and approachable environment.
